As an employer, medical benefits are difficult enough to understand without throwing dental into the mix. Unfortunately, it’s not something that I can ignore. As my company grows and I try to retain and attract good employees, having a competitive benefits package is crucial. After all, if I can’t offer basic dental benefits, I risk losing out on talented employees who can go work for one of my larger competitors.
That’s why I decided to get dental benefits through the Gold Key Benefits Group of Edmonton. It was a pleasure to work with the knowledgeable and dedicated staff of Gold Key Benefits and honestly if I hadn’t found them, I don’t know if I would even be offering this benefit to my employees.
Wide-Ranging Coverage for Employees and Family
One of the first things I noticed about the benefits that Gold Key had to offer was that they had benefits for our employees family members as well. In many of the plans I had been researching, the plan administrators only had options for employees which would leave their families high and dry.
Imagine a person going home to their family to tell them they are covered, but their spouse and children are not. What kind of sense does that make? The staff at Gold Key Benefits Group Edmonton told me that all employee family members had the option to get coverage. Now my people have the peace of mind they deserve knowing that their husbands, wives, children, and other family members have the dental coverage they need to stay healthy.
Dental Plans Even For Solo Practitioners
My company has several employees so I wasn’t really worried about finding a plan that we wouldn’t be able to take advantage of because of our size. Before I grew to this point, however, I hit many roadblocks in trying to obtain good dental coverage for my employees simply because it was myself and one other employee that made up the whole company.
Gold Key has dental plans even for single person companies which is practically unheard of in the medical insurance industry. If you have ever tried researching plans before you will understand. A lot of times the little guys get hung out to dry but not with Gold Key!
Major and Orthodontic Coverage
It’s funny, but when you own a small business, there are certain things you don’t get to take advantage of until you are much larger. When you do finally get access, it feels like you are sort of an ‘adult’ business which is discouraging because all businesses should have access to higher levels of dental care. This is how I felt when Gold Key told me my employees would have access to major restorative care and orthodontic care through our dental plan.
Through my extensive research into dental plans, I learned that most of the time, organizations could only qualify to offer these types of coverage to their employees if they have 30 or 40 or more employees. That doesn’t sound like a lot, but when you consider you have to be knocking down millions in revenue every year to cover that kind of labor overhead, it can be very discouraging.
The folks at Gold Key, however, told me that my small firm would qualify for these benefits. Considering that some of my employees desperately needed this type of coverage, I was so excited to announce it at the company meeting!
Dental Coverage Opt-out
Many people may not care much about this feature, but I thought it was pretty cool, especially for people who may have dental coverage through a spouse. Gold Key plans allow people to opt out of dental coverage if they don’t want to use it. This is in stark contrast to other plans I’ve seen where dental coverage is mandatory if you get medical.
I highly recommend Gold Key Benefits Group if you own a business and you are looking for dental coverage. They have dynamic plans that are realistic for the way people live their lives today.
